Attending Court Remotely

Follow the steps listed below to prepare for a remote court appearance. Start this process BEFORE your scheduled court appearance time to make sure you are in the virtual "waiting room" by the time court begins.

  1. Navigate to your county's Court Location page.
  2. Scroll down to Zoom Courtrooms.
  3. Click on JOIN for the courtroom you need.
  4. Click CONTINUE on Third Party Disclaimer screen.
  5. You should now be entered into the waiting room. If NOT, you may need to click on the blue "Join from Zoom Workplace app" button.
  6. Be sure your screen name being displayed is your legal name.
  7. When your case is ready to be called, the Judge will admit you into the virtual courtroom.
  8. Please remain muted until your case is called by the Court.

Remote Court Appearance Tips

  • You should take time prior to the call to become familiar with the zoom program and test your device’s microphone and speaker controls.
  • Dress appropriately, as if you were coming in person to the courthouse.
  • Make sure you are in a quiet location.
  • Make sure your background is court-appropriate.
